WILLIAM BARKER RONDOT, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Covington Manor. Born June 27, 1918, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late William and Gladys (Barker) Rondot. William proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was the owner of Rondot Heating & Air Conditioning for over 40 years. He opened and organized the Heating & Air Conditioning Studies for Ivy Tech State College in both Evansville and Fort Wayne. He is survived by his children, William B. Rondot Jr. of New Haven, Ind., Thomas C. Rondot of Tulsa, Okla., John H. (Diane) Rondot of Lima, Ohio, Margaret (Brad) Hudson of Carmel, Ind., Julie Rondot of Fort Wayne, Peter S. Rondot of Louisville, Ky., Phillip D. (Pam) Rondot of St. Louis, Mo., Joseph (Sharon Kelly) Rondot of Fort Wayne, Mary (David Krouse) Rondot of Fort Wayne.; 31 grandchildren; a bazillion great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Faye M. (James) Skevington of Tucson, Ariz. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Rondot; son, Matthew Rondot; and daughter-in-law, Jean Rondot. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
