Wesley Wayne Adams, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on January 30, 2021 at Lincolnshire Place Memory Care. Born August 20, 1936 in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Ellis and Josephine (Smith) Adams. A graduate of North Side High School, class of 1955, Wesley worked at NIPSCO for over 28 years. During his employment, he was promoted to supervisor. He retired from NIPSCO in his mid-fifties. Family was very important to “Dad” & “Grandpa.” His love & pride for his children and grandchildren was shown in the smile he always had. He attended the grandkids school functions and cheered them on at their sporting events. Wesley enjoyed riding motorcycles with his friend, Jule Kleinricherd, and other groups of guys. He was an avid golfer; he spent time on the golf course with his brother, Kenny, son-in-law, Tom and many friends. He also had a passion for gold mining during the summer months in Colorado, a passion he shared with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Deborah Adams of Fort Wayne; Cathy Griffis of Huntertown, IN; Rebecca (Thomas) Clendenen of Fort Wayne; Cynthia (Randy) Christo of Payne, OH; eight grandchildren, Joshua Milliman, Joseph (Alicia) Milliman, Jennifer Cearbaugh, Sara Maxwell, Emily (Jon) Ruffier, Michael (Leslie) Clendenen, Audra Van Cleve, Colten (Sydney Hofmann) Christo; eight great-grandchildren; former wife and mother of children, Donna Adams of Ellenton, FL; best friend, Jule Kleinricherd; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Adams; and sister-in-law, Dianna Adams.
