DR. W. HOWARD BELL, JR., 68, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Indianapolis, died on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Parkview Hospital. Born in Suffolk, Va., he was the son of the late W. Howard and Fannie Bell Sr. He was a dedicated pharmacy professional - owner/chief pharmacist of Pharmacy of Canterbury; former owner of Bell's Pharmacies, Inc.; and Medical/Dental Waste, Inc. in Indianapolis, Ind; he also enjoyed entrepreneurship ventures. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, the Air Force Association, IPA, NEIPA, and numerous pharmacy associations. Surviving are his wife, Becky "Sunshine" Bell; children, Tracie Bell, Christopher Bell and Allison (Essen) Otu; stepchildren, Jason (Jeannie), Mitzi (Rick) and April; grandchildren, Tyler, Brianna, Camryn, and Amel; step-grandchildren, Nathan and Presley; and sister, Debra Bell. He was also preceded in death by his son Brian and brother, Benny. Farewell celebration is 6 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2011, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne, with greeting of friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Family to also greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011, at Crown HillCemetery, Peace Chapel.
