Virginia Marie Brunner

VIRGINIA MARIE BRUNNER, 94, formerly of Leo, departed this life on Friday, July 22, 2011, at Golden Years Homestead. Born Aug. 25, 1916, at home on Philly Road, in Allen County, she was a daughter of the late William Bergmann and Elizabeth Marie (Schmitt) Bergmann. She was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and an honorary member of the Cedar Creek Women's Club. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol A. and Robert Bredemeyer and Judith K. and Larry Leuthaeuser; daughter-in-law, Barbara Brunner; grandchildren (who knew her as "Grandma Ginny"), Steven, Jeffrey and Robert Brunner, Julia Borgman, John and Joel Bredemeyer, Robin Grames, Paul, Jon and Rachel Leuthaeuser; 25 great-grand-children; sister-in-law, Jackie Brunner; six nephews; two nieces; and constant friends, Virginia Pickett and Helen Hobson. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Paul Louis Brunner, in 2002; son, Wayne P. Brunner, in 2006; brothers, Fredrick, Kenneth and Wayne Bergman; sister, Ruth Wichman; and nephew, Thomas Bergman. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 12640 St. Joe Road, with calling one hour prior. Entombment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens.
