Tivis Bolen, 83, of Fort Wayne passed away Friday November 12, 2021. He was born June 27, 1938 in Garrett, Kentucky to the late Sam and Hattie (Walker) Bolen. He spent many years volunteering at the Third Street Church of God. He loved to cook and spend time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Roberta (Claxton) Bolen of 51 years; two sons, Raymond (Laurella) Bolen of Littleton, Colorado and Troy (Candace) Bolen of Fort Wayne; one daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Boyd of Willard, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Kendra (Jake) Beck, Tara (Scott) Howell, Zach (Yvette) Bolen, Jimmy Cochran, Kaitlin Bolen, Kris Baughman, Heaven Bolen, Bailey Bolen, Chance Boyd and, Alek Boyd; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by seven brothers, Floyd, Chester, Edgil, Berchel, Buster, Vester, and Hershel Bolen and two sisters, Mary Jane Holbrook and Genevieve Hale. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 22, 2021 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells Street, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
