Thomas Bennie Williams Jr.

Tom B. Williams, Jr. was born to the union of the late Tom Buck Williams, Sr. and Willie Edna (Scott) Williams, on September 26, 1944, in Acmar, Alabama. He departed this life Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the age of 78 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Formerly of Queens, New York, he worked as an engineer for the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) for 36 years retiring in 2008. Tom enjoyed running, watching baseball, collecting baseballs, and watching old westerns. In 2020, he moved to Fort Wayne to be closer to family as his health began to decline. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Jean A. Williams, Sr., Willie Norvelle Williams, and Helen L. Cook; one niece, Crystal L. Washington, and a great-nephew. Family left to cherish his memory include his sister, Brenda Sue Williams-Ricks of Fort Wayne, Indiana; aunt Virginia Taylor; uncle Rudolph Moore; nieces: Lisa (Peter) Walcott of Center Point, Alabama, Kimberly Anderson of Queens, NY, and Lisa Smith of Grapevine, Texas; nephews: Gene Williams, Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Judge "Del" (Sandra) Cook, Jr. of Margaret, Alabama, and Tom (Heidi) Ricks of Fishers, Indiana, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A visitation will occur Friday, April 28, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home. 6750 Covington Rd Fort Wayne, IN 46804. A funeral service will follow the visitation and begin at 11:00 A.M. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
