My deepest sympathy at Toms passing. We enjoyed quite a few coney dogs together as he told me stories of the family's old Pepsi days. I even have one of the original glass water bottles he gave me.  Randy Getrost

Tom was a fun person with a great sense of humor.
A great character who lived life to the fullest.
I have fond memories of Tom that will last a lifetime.

So Sorry to hear about the passing of my dear friend TR.  So many memories, so many laughs shared.  We shared a lot of super healthy food, and less healthy other things.  Always fun though! Will there still be a cayenne shaker at Coney Island? Peace to all my friends in the Scheele Family, especially Steve (Charlie), Bill, Nora and Jeff. He touched many lives and his memory will live on.

We lost someone special when we lost TR.  I  met him via the Moore family, and have splashed in swimming pools, eaten pizza, talked shop about soda pop, and played his straight man many times over the years. He was next level when interacting with children, including my own, and he knew how to revel in everyday fun.

TR was part showman, part shaman.  The master of a good yarn, he could keep listeners spellbound whether they knew the story or not.  I don’t think I ever left an interaction without a good belly laugh.  His own rollicking laughter and ubiquitous jokes will be remembered with fondness.

In my time working at our local library branch I noted that TR never knew a stranger.  He made people feel seen; talking with him was as comfortable as an old shoe.   His warmth and sparkle were infectious. 

I’ll always admire the way TR didn’t let his complex life hold him down for long- he always came up swinging.  It’s hard to fathom never again seeing him sail out the door with a hand in the air and a grin lighting up his face, crowing, “I’ll see you in court!”  He was a decent man with a big, beautiful heart.

Tr brought me all the hotel coffee from various hotels when he was working on the road.

TR was a best friend. I Called him "my other brother".  We talked a lot about family and his many friends in many places.

So very sorry for your loss. In the 7th grade Tom was supposed to of asked me on the grand March at the roller rink. I was so excited. I unfortunately fell and sprained my wrist and had to go home. I was so bummed that I didn’t get to hold hands and skate with that cutie. My sincere condolences to Tom’s family and friends. Rest in Peace Tom.

So many years of late night talks, health food snacks, Tr’s  pasta/Pepsi/Coney Island Hot Dogs. Road trips, Field trips, babysitting, garage sales, hot tubbing and swimming pools.  Always remember the kids putting rocks in his mailbox, listening to Dark Side of the Moon and sharing family stories and jokes.  
One night TR was our designated driver for 5 women when we went to Babylon.  He came to pick us up and loved having a bevy of women to escort. He always joked my sister scared off advances from gay men saying “he’s with me”.   
TR had the thickest hair that grew fast… he’d say he got his mothers hair and his Father’s money and he still had the hair… he used to sit on the porch and let me cut away at his hair with the help of Sav and Tesla who were 4 and 11 yrs old.  We were not skilled haircutters but he knew it would grow back soon and we tried our best. 

I so enjoyed watching TR with kids.  My kids, neighbors and babysitting kids all enjoyed his playful manner.  When Tesla was born TR was over almost every day and really enjoyed seeing her grown even telling Nora “when you watch a baby, you have to watch them every minute.” A few years later Tesla asked to choose her own godparents and TR was her pick for Godfather.  He teared up when she asked and remained one of her greatest supporters. 

We celebrate his life and grieve his loss.  Our love to all his family and loved ones.

To the Scheele Family,  so sorry for the loss of your brother Tom.  He was a sweet, gentle soul and will be missed by all that knew him.  I am sure he is surrounded by family and at peace. Thoughts and prayers for you all !

TR what can I say. My brother Tr was one of the most generous  kind loving souls I ever met. He truly was my best friend and loyal brother he always had my back, I miss him, I know he's with the rest of my family looking down on me. I will miss him too the day I die, I love you zippe

So sorry to hear of Tom’s passing.  Worked with him years ago at Grueninger Travel.  He was always full of surprises.

A dear friend to me.  I have thought of him often, wondering where he was, and how he was doing. So many good memories when I've thought about TR!  Wish I could've located him to tell him just how much he meant to me.
