Growing up in the epicenter of Hoosier Hysteria, he loved talking about Indiana basketball which included stories of Hinkle Fieldhouse, Piggy Lambert, and the adventures and shenanigans of high school basketball in the 1950’s. Tom was also a DeMolay in good standing from Southport Masonic lodge 270 Indianapolis. Tom graduated from Ball State University, where he met his wife Eleanor, in 1954. His teaching career included positions in the Elkhart area, Perry East Junior High School in Indianapolis, IN and New Haven Middle School in New Haven, IN. During his teaching career Tom picked up a beekeeping hobby which eventually grew into a business he operated for many years. Following retirement from teaching Tom and his wonderful wife operated Peddler’s Corner in Grabill, IN. Throughout his later years Tom channeled his energy into raised bed gardening and playing catch with his dog Princess.

Tom is survived by his daughter Julie (James) Bergeron, sons David Hosier and Matthew (Jennifer) Hosier, granddaughters Madison Leidel, Hailey Leidel and Crystal Hosier and great-grandson Conrad Cowan.
