Thomas W. "Tom" Griffiths, 82, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2022. Born on March 5, 1940, in Goodrich, Michigan, he was the son of the late William H. and Maxine (Smith) Griffiths.
Tom attended the University of Michigan, and graduated from Tri-State University, with a degree in Civil Engineering, and retired from I&M Power, after more than 35 years of service in Management. After retiring, he worked at Ash Brokerage as a building manager for 7 years. Tom was an avid woodworker, and loved learning about Civil War history. He spent a lot of time camping with his family, watching IU Basketball, but his biggest love was his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Sue (Shivers) Griffiths; children, Shane (Amy) Griffiths, Shannon (Cherie) Griffiths, and Stephanie (Chris) Koch; grandchildren, Cole (Kaylee), Justin, Beth, Taylor, Wyatt, Olivia, Macey, and Raygen; great-granddaughter, Stella. In addition to his parents, also preceding him in death was his sister, Ann Hollander.
A Celebration of Tom's Life will be held from 2:00 to 5:00pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne.
