Teresa F. Davis

Teresa Frances Davis, 88, of Fort Wayne, went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, December 12, 2023. She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on June 25, 1935, a daughter of the late Walter and Adele (Forst) Herber. Teresa had a passion for watching birds, squirrels and all wildlife from her expansive kitchen windows. There was always a rambunctious crowd around the feeder and birdbath. She thoroughly enjoyed many years of volunteering her time at St. Joe Hospital in downtown Fort Wayne. She was a member of St. Henry parish for 65 years. Her steadfast faith and humility enabled her to sleep sweet knowing that her Lord was watching over all her little darlin's. She was a bright energetic mother to all, a pillar of the neighborhood for 55 years, and a proud Green Bay Packers fan. A generous portion of Smiley Faces in circulation today can be attributed to Teresa! She is survived by her children, Kathleen Lenz, Michael (Beth) Davis, Philip (Susan) Davis, Susan (David) Kistner, and John (Martha Duffell) Davis; sister, Gertrude Herber; brother, Charles Herber; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. Teresa was also preceded in passing by her husband of 54 years, Robert Davis, who has been lovingly carried in her heart since 2011; brothers, Hubert and Anthony Herber; sister, Bernadette Kelly; and son-in-law, Robert Lenz. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2023 at St. Henry Catholic Church, 2929 E. Paulding Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46816 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819. Burial to follow the service at Catholic Cemetery. Contributions in Teresa's memory may be made to The Fort Wayne Rescue Mission or Masses at St. Henry parish.
