Tasha N. (Myers) Bushnell

Tasha N. (Myers) Bushnell, 46, of Fort Wayne passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 surrounded by her family. She worked at Hyde Brothers Books for nearly 25 years and became its owner in 2021. A 2014 graduate of Indiana University, she served as an assistant to the Indiana Poet Laureate from 2014-2016 and shared her poetry at many events over the years. She will be remembered as an avid reader and sports enthusiast and a champion for her home, her family and her community. She absolutely rocked the color red and will be dearly missed. Surviving family include her husband, Sean Bushnell; children, Caitlyn (Rachel McNair) Bushnell and Madison (Aiden Buhl) Bushnell; mother, Janet Myers; father, Bruce Myers; siblings, Ericka (Dave), Elliot, and Shauna (Ricky); nieces and nephews, Sam, Maya, Chelsey (Justen), Becky (Brett); many cousins; and mother-in-law, Barbara Bushnell. Tasha was preceded in passing by her father-in-law, Scott Bushnell. Memorial service will be 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home, 1327 North Wells St., Fort Wayne with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or The Literacy Alliance – Fort Wayne.
