Sylvia Kathryn (Brauner) Jacobson, age 85 of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1939 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to Henry and Gertrude Brauner.
Sylvia had a passion for her family and was a faithful friend to many. As an eternal optimist, she found beauty in everything around her. She was a prayer warrior who radiated light and her love of Jesus. It was simply a joy to be in her presence.
She was a devoted mother to Jodi (Jeff) Engebrecht and Jeff (Kristie) Jacobson, and a cherished grandmother to Kyle (Joy) Engebrecht, and Julie (Rollin) White, Gabriel (Jessica) Jacobson, Tate, Levi, and Chloe Jacobson, and Evie and Hallie Engebrecht. She also leaves behind two great-grandchildren, Jack and London Engebrecht.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her loving husband, of 59 years, William Jacobson.
A Celebration of Life for Sylvia will be held on March 15, 2025 at The Branch, which is part of her beloved Emmanuel Community Church. The address is 7227 Bittersweet Moors Dr., Fort Wayne Indiana. Additional details will be shared as the date draws closer.
