Steven L. Sorg

Steven L. Sorg, 55, of Fort Wayne, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 after a year long illness with cancer at his home. Born July 28, 1956 in Fort Wayne, he was manager with Ryder Transportation for 27 years. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Deb Sorg, of Fort Wayne; sons, Kyle (Mallory Biddle) Sorg, of Hoagland and Taylor (Erica Watson) Sorg, of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Damien Stahl and Katie Sorg; mother, Rosaline Sorg, of Fort Wayne; siblings, Daniel (Deb) Sorg and Rebecca Glick, both of Fort Wayne; Roger (Pam) Sorg, of Churubusco, Karen (Mike) Letner and Peggy Lucas, both of Fort Wayne. Nick (Lisa) Sorg, of Markle and Andy (Terri) Sorg, of Fort Wayne; sister-in-law, Paula (Arnie Hobbs) Wood, of WA; brother-in-law, Chuck (Bonnie Finlayson) Wood, of CO; sister-in-law, Ruby (Robert) Jones, of MS; 37 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl A. Sorg. Mass of Christian Resurrection is 11:00 am Thursday at St Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Rd. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 1-4 and 6-9 pm Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with a vigil service and remembrances at 8:30 pm.
