Steven D Prindle Sr, 71, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Born on August 1, 1951, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late John B and Helen L (Coe) Prindle Sr. He loved NASCAR Racing, Komets Hockey, collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia, The Christmas Story, and telling his "Shark" Story. He was the proud owner of a racing team Steve Prindle Racing. He was a past member of Waynedale F&A Masonic Lodge #739, he was a former volunteer Firefighter and EMT for Aboite Twp Fire Dept. He retired 2019 from Toyota of Warsaw as the Parts and Service Director, after a career in the Automotive industry for over 50 years. Steven was known for his smile, dry sense of humor, never knowing a stranger, he loved being a grandpa, and will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Gwendolyn (Wells) Prindle; daughters, Michelle Prindle, Ashleigh (Erik) Berg, and Heather (Eric) Rutkowski; sons, Steven D (Karina) Prindle Jr, Zachary A Prindle, and David A (Brandy) Miller; grandchildren, Allison (Simon) Brown, Amanda (Brady) Linneman, Andrew Prindle, Austin Prindle, Paige Prindle, Zoey Prindle, Kaylee Eddy, Sophie Eddy, Jackson Miller, Greyson Miller, Camdon Miller, Jacob Prindle, Jacelin Prindle, Ella Prindle, Hadleigh Prindle, Emma Rutkowski, and Nora Rutkowski; siblings, Diane Erler, James Prindle, and Ralph (Kelly) Prindle. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John "Jack" B Prindle Jr; and his best friend, Todd Longenbaugh.
Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
