Steven L Michaels

Steven L Michaels, 67, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. Born on May 2, 1955, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of Maurice and Mary Jo (Iveson) Michaels. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diane (Rahrig) Michaels; son, Christopher Michaels (wife Susan), daughter Sara Robinson (husband Darrell), four grandchildren Erik, Nolan, Gavin & Riley, and five sisters Vicki, Rita, Regina, Sue & Lori. He was proceeded in death by his father Maurice, his sister Helen and his brother Wayne. Steve was the owner and operator of two successful tool & die companies, Specialty Tool Inc, and EZ Cut Tool, both located in New Haven, IN. In addition, he also spent time in real estate, both as a landlord, and an agent for Century 21 Bradley, in Fort Wayne. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, playing cards with his friends, and reading. He retired in 2021 and spent the remainder of his life learning to cook and spending time with his family. Funeral service will be 4:00pm, Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 2:00pm to 4:00pm, prior to service. Memorial donations may be given to the family.
