A Fort Wayne native, he attended St. John's Lutheran School, Northside High School and business college. He worked in retail sales, design and layout.
He was a supporter and member of various organizations: Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, Embassy Foundation, Rails to Trails, Railroad Historical Society, German Heritage Society and the National Trust for Historic Conservation as well as the Experimental Aircraft Association.
He was owner of SK Designs where he enjoyed designing layout and designs for several convenience stores. He was a member of the NRA and the National Society of Historical Preservation.
Surviving are his wife Carol Gribler, son Micheal (Deborah) Kienzle ,daughter Deborah Lynn Kienzle, brother Terry (Sue) Kienzle, sister Judy (Bob) Burns and Diane (Gene) Smith. He was preceded in death by his brothers Jimmy and Dean Kienzle.
A memorial service will be at 3 pm Friday Aug. 1 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6224 Winchester Road. Visitation will be from 1 pm until time of service.
