I worked with Steve for many years both at Verizon and at Frontier.  He was a great peer/friend and always kept positive with any situations that we were challenged with.  He certainly left his mark and touched many that crossed his path.

I hope my condolences bring you comfort and my prayers ease the pain of this loss. I pray the love you have for Steve is forever carried in your memory.  Words can't express how saddened I was to hear of your loss.  May his memory bring you comfort and peace always.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Steve, I was just joking with him at dinner a couple of days earlier where our travel plans aligned.   Steve was not only a dear friend but also an invaluable colleague in our efforts to create customer satisfaction.  He made a lasting impact on our work and the lives of those we served.

Steve was not only a dedicated professional but a warm and caring individual who always put others first. He had a remarkable ability to listen, empathize, and find solutions that left a positive mark on all of us.

 Steve was highly respected and cherished by all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him. He will be greatly missed, not only for his professional expertise but also for the kindness and friendship he extended to everyone.

Steve was one of the good guys!  Very patient and always kind.  He was full of ideas to make things better and would always dig in to help out on any issue or any challenge.

I have worked with Steve on so many high-level orders and issues over the years and he was always willing to help out.   He was well respected by his peers, his employees and all those who knew him.

All that stated, the two things that really stand out about Steve (to me):

1.) He had a gift when it came to our customers - he had a way of making customers feel like there was no better advocate for them in the world.  He worked tirelessly to keep all of our customers completely satisfied (even when it wasn't always easy to do so).

2.)  I worked with Steve for 10 years (literally every day, on countless issues and countless orders/escalations) - in 10 years he never once missed the opportunity to say thank you even if the outcome wasn't what he had hoped.

He will be missed as his qualities as a leader and a person are rare these days; friendly, honest, straightforward, and always from the heart.

My condolences to the entire family and for all those who worked with him over the years.  He will be missed.

My path crossed that of Steve’s numerous times during my career.  He was always leading the way on whatever the latest challenge was, and partnering and influencing others to move towards a solution. My relationship solidified with him when I joined his team after joining Frontier.  As a seasoned telecom guy by this point in my career,  I continued to learn and grow by his encouraging leadership.

My condolences to Darlene and family. I join you as someone who will miss his presence.

Steve was a teacher, a leader and mentor.
I had the utmost respect for him and the way he looked at the business and life. He was the leader that could tell you what you did right, however he could tell you what was wrong and how to make it better. He always listened to your point of view, to understand. And he would share the same respect, from his point of view.
He encouraged growth and development on a business and personal level. He encouraged me to take on the more and develop my skills. He motivated me to want to do my best and it was easy to do with his guidance. He was not just a boss; he was like family.  It has been an honor to work for him for almost 9yrs.

I worked with Steve for 12 years and I can honestly say he was the best Mentor I have ever had.  He was such a kind, hardworking, and passionate individual. Anyone who worked for him, loved him, and everyone who worked with him, respected him. I will miss talking with him everyday; the world is a darker place without him.

My deepest sympathies.  I am heartbroken for his family.

I worked with Steve over the past 16 years and I have never had a director or manager that showed they cared more than Steve.  Steve was there with me through some very difficult times including the sudden death of my adult son and my very difficult divorce.  He cared enough to know when I needed support and was always there to provide it.  Steve was a compassionate shoulder to cry on, a concerned ear to listen and a strong voice to provide guidance when needed.
