Stephen Michael Litchfield

Stephen Michael Litchfield, age 83, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. He was born February 16, 1939 in Fort Wayne to the late George D. and Virginia Ann (née Bayman) Litchfield. Stephen attended Decatur Catholic School and lettered in Basketball. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served as a paratrooper with the 101st Airborne Division. He spent his career in outside sales prior to his partial retirement in 1999. He married the love of his life, Beverly Kay (née Stults) on April 28, 1961 in Decatur, Indiana and from this union three children were born. Stephen was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and Jaycees. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Beverly; children, Randolph Kyler Litchfield, Deborah Kay Litchfield, and Stacy Ellen (née Litchfield) Lake; grandchildren, Samantha Ivy Litchfield, Sydney Rae Litchfield, and Cooper Nathan Lake; siblings, Roger (Dorothy) Litchfield, Roseanne Clark, Gregory (Dody) Litchfield, Janet (Timothy) Zoll, Anthony Litchfield, Richard (Rachel) Litchfield. He was predeceased by his brothers, Roy Litchfield, Christopher Litchfield, and Larry David Litchfield. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 am at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne with calling beginning at 10:00 am. Entombment at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project.
