Stacey LeAnn Jones
May 20, 1963 – July 19, 2020
IN THE CARE OF
D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Covington Knolls
Stacey LeAnn Jones, 57, of Fort Wayne, passed on Sunday, July 19, 2020. Born in Fort Wayne on May 20, 1963 she was a daughter of May R. Jones and the late Ralph Hayden.
She was in the medical field for the majority of her career, even obtaining credentials to become an LPN. An employee of the VA hospital is where she spent her last years in the workforce, even venturing into the Human Resources sector. Stacey was adamant in providing a good life for her family, while sometimes even having two titles, at once. “Work hard, play hard” was her motto, that she lived by. Stacey loved being in nature, watching The Colts (she LOVED the Colts) and The Pacers, listening to music, dancing, cycling, reading, fashion, and being around her family. Her “boys” were her top priority, she’d rather spend time with them over anything else.
Stacey is survived by her children, Ashley Jones, Alkia Jones, Verrika Martin, and Jacob Sullivan; grandkids, Jordan Link-Jones, Ah’Rhyes Martin, Ashton Jones, and Khy’Ari-Sincere Moore-Jones; and siblings, Tracey Jones, Christopher Jones(Doris Jones), Valerie Martin, Jimmy Jones (Vicki Jones), Vanessa Jones, Quincey Jones, Rapheld Baskin, and Tracey Slayton. She was preceded in death by May Francis Bryant, Margaret Hayden, Charles Hayden Sr., Leanna Blackman-Jones, John Henry Jones, and Justice Culver.
Services will be held Monday, July 27, 2020 at 1:30 PM at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
