Shirley B. Husted Ring

Shirley B. Husted Ring, 98, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024. Shirley was born on February 5, 1926 in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Alonzo B. and Mildred W. (Brant) James. Shirley worked at Peerless Cleaners for 21 years as well as at Magnavox for 23 years. She was an executive board member of the Magnavox union as well as a member of the Red Hat Ladies. In her free time, she enjoyed cross stitch, and formerly fishing, bowling, and golfing. Surviving family include her children, Cindy S. Husted, Mike Husted, Paul Husted, and Lewis Husted; along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other extend family members. Besides her parents, Shirley was preceded in passing by her first husband, Francis Lee Husted, Sr.; her second husband, Jack Ring; her children, Francis Lee Husted, Jr., Charlie Husted, Dennis Husted, Shirl Ann Green, Corby Husted, James Husted, Phillip Husted; and a sister, Bessie Taylor. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
