Sharon Elaine Saaf

Sharon Elaine Saaf, 87, passed away July 15, 2023, at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. after a battle with Dementia for many years. She was born April 12, 1936, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of Harley and Lee Ora Towns. She was the Activity Director at Townhouse Retirement Community for several years.

Sharon enjoyed quilting, gardening spending time with her family and grandchildren and loved to travel.

She is survived by her children, Richard (Kay) Saaf of OH; Rachelle (Michael Bremer) Bystrom of North Webster, IN; Mindy (Jim) Saaf-Nicewonger of FL; sister Miranda Koggen of VT; 12 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchildren, daughter in laws. Patti Saaf and Janet Saaf.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Dean Saaf Sr. James Bordner and Joseph S. Williams, parents, sons, Randall Scott Saaf, Brady Andrew Saaf, and a sister Nancy Gilbert.

Chapel service and burial will be 2pm Thursday July 20, 2023 at Lindenwood Cemetery 2324 W. Main Street Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation. Arrangements by D.O.
