Ruth Maxine Miller, 99, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was lifted into the arms of Jesus on Friday, September 9, 2022, from Stillwater Hospice of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born September 18, 1922, to Earl and Mary (Allen) Stafford.
Ruth grew up on the family farm in Allen, Michigan, married Herbert Miller on Valentine’s Day in 1945, and worked as a legal secretary in Coldwater, Michigan. Her Lutheran faith sustained her, and since her husband’s passing she has lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with her only child and her son-in-law, Darlene and Brian Hackett.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her younger brother, Donald. Surviving are her daughter Darlene (Brian) Hackett, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy, Michigan. The Rev. Paul Shoemaker of Lake George Lutheran Chapel, Fremont, Indiana, will be officiating. Arrangements by D.O.
