RUTH E. (EBEL) BROWN, of Fort Wayne, slipped into the arms of Jesus on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. Born May 12, 1944, in Fort Wayne, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Vada Ebel. She was a member of North Park Community Church, Bible Study Fellowship and Home Ec Club. She retired from Lincoln Life. She loved to help others, shop, quilt, walk, travel, being outside, doggies, kitties, birds and squirrels, and most of all the Lord and spending time with those she loved - her family and friends. “Mom you were tiny in stature, but mighty in faith, determination, strength and above all your unconditional love of others. Our love and memories of you are cherished beyond measure. We are blessed to call you mom and will miss you much.” Surviving are her son, Ronald (Maria) Fralick; daughter, Lisa Perkins (James) Hart; grandchildren, Toby (Chasity), Amber (Wayne), and Bailey, Hunter; stepchildren, Ron (Amy) Brown, Robin Hetzeler, Robert (Crystal) Brown, Rod (April) Brown; step-grandchildren, Randy (Pamela), Justin, Kory (Amy), Candace (Ben), Logan, Josh, Tom, Jake, Mara, Tyler, and Ryan; three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and four step-great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Theron (Terena) Ebel; sister, Lorinda (Tom) Galland; brother-in-law, Dave Brown; three nephews; a niece; other family; and many loving and dear friends who held a special place in her heart. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Brown. “A special thank you for the loving care provided by the amazing staff at Fort Wayne Oncology as well as the many prayers on mom’s behalf.” Funeral service is 11 AM Saturday February 15 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial in Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials to the Allen County S.P.C.A., or to the church.
