RUSSELL J. FOX, 95, of Fort Wayne, was called home to our Lord on Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, embraced by his daughters, in Mason, Ohio, where he and his wife lived with their daughter for the past two years. Born April 7, 1918, in Plymouth, Ind., he was the son of the late Jenny (Hartman) and Eugene Fox. He was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. John the Baptist parish. He was also a WWII Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion. He retired from G.E. with over 40 years of service. During retirement, he enjoyed time with his family, gardening, bird watching, and helping others with his handyman skills, from remodeling to repairing music boxes. "He was the most loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend." He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary (Wyss); daughters, Maureen (Jeff) Steinacker of Mason Ohio and Michelle (Tim) Crowder of Houston Texas; grandchildren, Tiffany, Nick, Abby and Carly; great-grandson, Alex; and sisters, Virginia Meier and Annie Fisher. He was also preceded in death by brother, Zeno. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Tuesday, at St Johns the Baptist Catholic church, with visitation one half hour prior.
