Ruby J. York, 88, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023. She was born on December 31, 1934 in Sparta, Tennessee, a daughter of the late George C. and Zina E. (Shelton) Scott. She worked as a homemaker, caring for the home and the family, all of which were very important to her. In her free time, she enjoyed going to garage sales, playing Skip-Bo, and people watching. Surviving family include her children, Gail Cavaliere, Connie (Steve) King, Tammie (Dave) Arbuckle, Rick York, and Larry York; 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she preceded in passing by her husband, Lloyd J. York; son, Dale York; and seven siblings. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm.
