Rose M. Freiburger, 82, of Fort Wayne, went to the Lord's Eternal Kingdom on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Born on March 22, 1939, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (nee Lynch) Happ.
Rose proudly retired from General Electric after more than 30 years of service. She enjoyed baking, BINGO, IU Basketball, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Harter; sons, Steve Freiburger, and Tony (Tracey) Freiburger; grandchildren, Curt (Holly), Mandi (Rob), Adam (Alexis), and AJ; seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Joan (Merle) Giant, and Dorothy Shady; brother, Charles (Zelda) Happ. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Thomas Freiburger, in 2008; siblings, Virginia Haggenjos, and Richard Happ.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 18, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, March 17, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
