Rose Ertel

Rose (Rosella Theresa) Ertel, 95, died on March 23, 2018. She was a daughter of James and Catherine Lenox. Rose married Harry Ertel in 1943. They were blessed with 70 years of life together before Harry died in 2013. Rose retired from Indiana and Michigan Electric Company in 1983. Rose was a member of Trinity English Lutheran Church where she served on the Altar Guild and Dorcas Circle. Rose loved her family and enjoyed hosting gatherings, especially those with spirited euchre games. Surviving are her son Daniel L. Ertel and daughter-in-law Rosemary, daughter Susan E. Blackburn, 1 grandson Michael (Laura) Blackburn, 3 granddaughters Stacy (Eric) Anderson, Kristen Ertel, Whitney (Alex) Spencer, and great-grandchildren Grace Mae and Stella Rose Blackburn. She was preceded in death by four sisters, one brother and a son-in-law, Ron Blackburn. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 West Washington Boulevard, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be, 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 420 West Wayne Street. Preferred memorials are to Heartland Hospice and Trinity English Lutheran Church.
