Rosaline "Rosie" May Sorg

Rosaline “Rosie” May Sorg, 90, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Rosie was born November 1, 1932 in Allen County, daughter to the late Albert J. and Hazel H. (Walker) Christman. She was a loving mother of eight children, 20 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and her family meant the world to her. Her children, most are located in Fort Wayne are Daniel (Debra) Sorg, daughter-in-law (Debra) Sorg, Rebecca Glick, Roger (Pam) Sorg of Churubusco, Karen (Mike) Letner, Peggy Lucas, Nicholas (Lisa) Sorg, and Andrew (Terri) Sorg; sisters, Dorothy Ecenbarger, Phyllis "Fritz" Sorg, Donna "Jeanie" Hunkler, all of Fort Wayne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl A. Sorg; son, Steven Sorg; and sister, Evelyn France. Rosie worked in several businesses including K-Mart Distribution Center, Fort Wayne National Bank, and Tower Bank. Rosie was a faithful member of St. Therese Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation for Rosie will also be held Monday, May 8, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819. Entombment will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rosie’s memory may be made to Stillwater Hospice or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
