Ronald Brown, born January 16th 1933, passed Sunday March 18th 2012. Ronald was a highly decorated member of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country as a staff sergeant during the Korean War. Before his tour of duty Ronald graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, IN. He showed a unique aptitude for architecture and design in his studies, a passion which he maintained his whole life, completely designing four of his own homes. As a civilian Ronald served the community of fort Wayne in numerous ways. He had a particularly keen entrepreneurial sense in business and in charity; owning his own business for more than thirty years and leading charitable initiatives such as playing Santa Claus to hand out christmas gifts at The Lutheran Hospital children’s wing entirely on his own accord.
He is survived by his wife of more than fifty years, Carol Brown, sister: Carol (Robert) Wright of West Layfayette, Five Nephews Tom Nisen and Tim Wright, James , Steven and William Buckley and Niece Ann Buckley. as well as friends and family both young and old who were touched by his wisdom, honesty and compassion.He was preceded in death by his brother Harry Brown. It is through these lives that his legacy will live on and his influence never forgotten.
