Robert J. “Bob” Meyer Jr. 84, passed away November 30, 2023 at Millers Merry Manor in Garrett, IN. He was born January 15, 1939 in Garrett, IN, the son of Robert J. and Hermine Meyer Sr. Robert. Bob was a diesel mechanic and worked at various factories, including Zollner Piston, Thompson Pump in FL, and at Bobcat of Fort Wayne from 1998-2010. He also helped run the family business, Meyer Farm Equipment in Avilla, IN during the 1980s. He attended the Journey Church.
He is survived by children, Lisa (Tom) Lill of Fort Wayne, IN; Michelle (Chris) Corrao of Noblesville, IN; Kelly (Cheryl) Shively of Garrett, IN; Mark Shively of Fort Wayne, IN; son in law, Tom Schneider of Fort Wayne, IN; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Beverly Meyer, daughter, Debra Schneider, siblings, Donald Meyer, and Barbara Thomas.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Monday December 11, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home 8325 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 3-6 pm Sunday December 10, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
