Robert E. Gillian, 83, passed away at Hospice Home in Ft. Wayne on Friday, October 29, 2010. He was born in Ft. Wayne on August 15, 1927 to the late Harold and Delpha (Emerick) Gillian. He retired from Ft. Wayne Community Schools in 1992. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Jane K. (Conrad) Gillian of Ft. Wayne; his children, Kathy (John) Gardlik of Cincinnati, OH, Karen (Ray) Auker of Ft. Wayne and Ken Gillian of Ft. Wayne; six grandchildren, Cory, Laura, Samuel, Matt, Mark and Rebecca (Andrew). He was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 1, 2010 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Dr., Ft. Wayne with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be from 3 – 7 PM on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home. Arrangements are by Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
