Robert E. Foster, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2015. Born Sept. 13, 1922, in Bluffton, he was a son of the late George and Ruth Foster. He served in the U.S. Army and later attended an Honor Flight which he was proud of and enjoyed. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring in 1982. Surviving family include his daughter, Carol (Fred) Raleigh; grandchildren, Tina Baxter, Jeremy Foster and Brandon Foster; and great-grandchildren, Reagan and Reed Baxter. He was also preceded in passing by his wife, Phyllis (Elzey) Foster; son, Dennis Foster; and siblings, Shirley Zaugg, Martha Flaig and Leonard Foster. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, at the funeral home. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian.
