Robert O. “Bob” Elliott, 96, of Fort Wayne, passed away, Sunday, December 4, 2011. He was born on May 1, 1915 in Detroit, MI to the late Henry A. and Edna (Bennett) Elliott. He retired from missionary service after pastoring at churches in Waynedale and Auburn. He was a member of Avalon Missionary Church. He also spent 26 years in missionary service in the Dominican Republic. Surviving family include Bob Elliot of FL, Bill Elliott of AR, Jim Elliott of MI, and Dorothy Elliott of AZ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Helene; and son, David.
A funeral service will be 12:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2011 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., with visitation starting at 10:00 am with Pastor Keith Koteskey officiating. Burial will take place at the Prairie Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Avalon Missionary Church-Missions.
