Robert "Bob" Peterson

Robert "Bob" Peterson, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, January 22, 2024. Bob was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 2, 1931, he was a son of the late George and Maxine (Hoover) Peterson. He worked at International Harvester for over 46 years and served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Scottish Rite, Mizpah Shrine, American Legion Post 499 and Masonic lodge 46. Bob was a Highland past master three rivers for 3 years and he received the 50-year masonic award. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Vivian (MacDuffee) Peterson; children, Deb Hibler, Pam (Don) Williamson and Rob (Rita) Peterson; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Edward Peterson; and sister, Karen Hewitt. Bob was also preceded in passing by his son, Jeff Peterson; granddaughter, Bobbi Williamson; sisters, Phyllis Moran and Myrtle Devinny; and son-in-law, Jeff Hibler. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 29, 2024 at Greenlawn Funeral Home 6750 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46804 with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Covington Memorial Gardens. Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, ASPCA or the American Kidney Foundation.
