Richard W. Shuler, 65, of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, Apr. 14, 2013 at Visiting Hospice. Born Aug. 13, 1947 in Fort Wayne, he was employed for 30 years with General Electric as an AutoCad designer. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Karen S. (Stettler) Shuler, of Fort Wayne; three sons, Richard (Tara) Shuler II, and Ryan Shuler, both of Fort Wayne; and Scott (Michelle) Shuler, of New Haven; daughter, Kendra Shuler, of Fort Wayne; 9 grandchildren; four sisters, Sharon Walters, of Fort Wayne; Beverly (Dusty) Weber, Melanie Almas, and Valerie Kelley, all of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Jeanine (Swihart) Shuler and two brothers, Ronald and Joseph Shuler.
Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am Thursday, Apr. 18, 2013 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 4500 Fairfield Ave. with calling one hour prior. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Klaehn, Fahl and Melton Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
