Richard A. Powell Jr. 75 passed away Monday October 4, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born October 13, 1945 in Washington, DC to the late Richard A. and Lucie Powell Sr. He and his family moved to Fort Wayne in 1950. Richard graduated from Elmhurst High School in 1963, GE Apprentice School in 1968 and earned his Bachelor’s in Business from IPFW. He was a tool and die maker at General Electric for 22 years and at Magnavox for 17 years. Richard was a member of the GE Apprentice Alumni Association. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Margaret A. Powell of Fort Wayne, IN; children. Leslie D Royal of Allen, TX; Travis R. (Sarah) Powell of Greenwood, IN; Courtney B. (Bernie) Dufrene of Lancaster, PA; step children, Jennifer A. Campos, Scott R. (Andrea) Robinson, Matthew W. Robinson all of Fort Wayne, IN; 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Private Graveside service will be held at later date. Burial in Greenlawn Cemetery 6600 Covington Road Fort Wayne, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse Service or Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control. Arrangements by D.O.
