Richard H. Koop

Richard H. Koop, 83, of Ft Wayne, died Friday, March 5, 2010 at Lutheran Hospital. He was born August 17, 1926 in Ft Wayne. He was in sales & marketing for General Electric for 42yrs and was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church. He enjoyed his family, woodworking, and eating supper at Hall's. He was proud of working at GE and being a WWII Army veteran. He is survived by his son, Christopher (Michele) Koop, of Ft Wayne; Son-in-law, Eric Caple; of WI; Step daughter-in-law, Cathy Tapp, of Ft Wayne; Step-sons, Mike Tapp & Charlie Tapp; grandchildren, Wesley Caple & Colin Caple; Step- grandchildren, Michael (Cara) Tapp, Christopher (Marni) Tapp, Matthew Tapp & Catie Tapp; 5 great grandchildren; special neice & caregiver, Donna McBride and several neices & nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susanne, in 2007, daughter, Cathy Caple, in 2001, parents, George F. & Ada A. (Cremer) Koop and sister, Evelyn McBride. Funeral Service is 10:00am Tuesday, March 9 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Wayne St. Chapel, 420 Wayne St., with calling 1 hr prior to service. Visitation is Monday 5-8pm at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Wayne St. Chapel. Entombment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens. Preferred memorials to SPCA or American Heart Association. www.klaehnfahlmelton.com
