Richard E. Haire Jr.

Richard Eugene Haire Jr., age 58, of Avilla, IN, died on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Lutheran Life Villages due to a long battle of cancer. He was born March 24, 1960, to Richard Eugene Haire SR. and P. Joann (Nickolson) Haire in Fort Wayne, IN. Richard graduated from Carroll High School in 1978. He went to Ravens Croft Beauty College to obtain his Cosmetology License. He loved to take care of people and make them look beautiful. Richard also loved gardening and completed the Master Gardeners Program through Purdue University in January of 2004. Richard had owned and operated The Hair Factor in Huntertown and worked at Colwell Industries in the 80’s. He owned and operated a Haire Among Flowers in Kendallville and Avilla, worked at Family Shears, and The Haire Cellar both in kendallville. Richard loved watching the colts play, going to the casino, watching his grandchildren performing for East Noble Marching Band, concert band, track, and football. He loved and enjoyed greatly his friends from Avilla. Surviving are his father, Richard E. Haire Sr., of Wolcottville, IN, one brother, Bruce Haire of Wolcottville, IN, daughter, Patricia (David) Isaac of Kendallville, IN, son, Shawn (Kristin) Haire of LaGrange, IN, grandchildren; Lauryn and Zackary Isaac of Kendallville, IN, nieces, Chealsea Haire of Fort Wayne, IN Cassandra Haire of VA, and nephew, Austin Haire, of Fort Wayne, IN, aunt, Bim Seltenright of Kendallville, IN, uncle, Gary Haire of FL, and many cousins. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at 2pm with calling two hours prior from 12-2pm at D.O. McComb and Sons, 1320 East Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
