Richard Lewis Dye, 83, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Born on September 8, 1935 in Fostoria, Ohio to the late Lewis Butler and Fern (Dye) Bradford. He served in the United States Navy for six years. Was a diehard Ohio State Buckeye football fan, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Richard is survived by his daughter, Pamela (Tod) Grabbe; sons, Richard (Lisa) Dye and David Dye; grandchildren, Joshua, Melissa, Austin, Kevin, Katelyn, Nolan, Chrystal, and Shelby; eight great- grandchildren; sister, Nancy Crisco; and brother, Chip Wilcox. Also proceeding him in passing are his wife, Gladys Dye and brother, Ronald Wedge. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at the D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46815 with visitation two hours prior. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice.
