Richard Loren Beard

Richard graduated from Edgerton High School. He worked for W.A. Sheets Construction, and did an Ironworkers Apprenticeship. He later then worked for the Ironworkers Local 147. Richard's true hobbies were, fishing, gardening and lawn mowing. He enjoyed fixing lawn mowers especially Lawn Boys.

Richard married Georgeanna Walker on September 15, 1949, in Hicksville, Ohio.

He later married Mary Lou Robinson on February 16, 1952, in Angola, Indiana.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Sheryl (Kenton) Kaufman, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; 5 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Richard is predeceased by his first wife, Georgeanna Beard and his second Wife: Mary Lou Beard; a son Glen Robinson; his parents, Hazel and Milton Beard; his brothers, Robert and Harold Beard; three sisters, Eloise Erk, Eleanor Blanchard and Frieda Beard; one great-grandchild.

A memorial gathering will be on Saturday, August 5th, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, at D.O. McComb and Sons Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN 46825.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 4656 W Jefferson Blvd #100, Fort Wayne, IN 46804.
