Ralph J. Brooks

Ralph J. Brooks, 59, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at his home. He was born October 17, 1950 in Grant County, IN. He was a truck driver for Summit Contract Carriers, Ft Wayne from 1977-1989 and retired in 2004 from Roadway Express, Chicago Heights, IL. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of Masonic Lodge Columbia City #189, Moose Lodge, Knox, IN, Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge No 248 and American Legion Post 241. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Patty J. Brooks, of Ft Wayne, IN; son, Randy (Gina) Brooks, of Ft Wayne; daughter, Brenda Brooks, of Ft Wayne; father, James E. Brooks, of Marion, IN and Paducah, KY; sisters, Pauline Ott, of Marion, IN; Margie (Kenny) Pitman, of Murfreesboro, TN; Mary (Steve) Martz, of Meza, AZ; Eunice (Randy) Janne, of Paducah, KY; brother, Ray (Mary) Brooks, of Gallatin, TN; grandson, Andre Brooks, of Ft Wayne; grandaughter, Danielle (Ben) Sajecki, of Groton, CT; grandson, Kyle Brooks, of Ft Wayne; grandson, Allen Houser, of Ft Wayne; great grandson, Gavin A. Sajecki and great grandaughter, of Makinley R. Brooks and several nieces and nephews. "A very special thank you to a very special friend, Tammy Fielitz." He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tina, in 1971 and mother, Margaret Brooks, in 1999. Funeral Service is 1:00pm Saturday, May 15, 2010 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton, Winchester Rd. Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd. with calling 3 hrs prior to service. Burial in Van Buren Cemetery, Van Buren.
