Phillip R Smith was born at Clear Lake, Indiana on October 9, 1937 and passed into God’s arms with his sister by his side at his home on August 19, 2018, Huntington, IN. Predeceased by parents Herman Smith and Anna Belle (Isenhower) Smith, and brother-in-law Paul Rumohr. Phillip is survived by his sister Sharon Rumohr of Jonesville, MI, nephew Rick (Carol Ann) Cole of Los Gatos, CA and niece Susan (Gary) Gillard of Wyoming, MI. Phillip graduated from Fremont High School in 1956. He served in the Army from 1960 to 1962 and graduated from Purdue University in 1968. His career included working several years as a reservoir Manager for the Dept. of Natural Resources and then 33 years at the Country Square Hardware, Markle, IN. Phillip touched many lives and people felt lucky to be his friend. Everyone is welcome to attend the Graveside Service to be held at Teeters Cemetery, Fremont, IN on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 11:00 am.
