Paul K. J. Shrader

Paul K. J. Shrader, 97, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. He was born September 1, 1924 in Beverly, West Virginia, son to the late Calvin and Judy (McKinney) Shrader. Paul was a World War II veteran and served in the United States Army for 20 years. After retirement Paul worked in civil services for the Army Reserves for an additional 20 years and for Avis as a shuttler for 10 years. Paul was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Decatur American Legion. Surviving is his daughter, Shirley Russell; grandchildren, Pamela Russell, and Adam Russell; and great-grandchildren, Kai Pilamunga and Katy Pilamunga. In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife Gabriela (Lehner) Shrader; and daughter, Linda McMillen. Visitation for Paul will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 10:30 AM at Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 East Pettit Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46806 with visitation one hour prior. The family requests that all attending service wear a mask. Funeral services will also be live streamed on the Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Facebook page starting just prior to the service time. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Contributions in Paul's memory may be made to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana, Heart to Heart Hospice, or Warrior Breed Motorcycle Club.
