PAUL HUGHES, 56, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2011. Born Aug. 11, 1955, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of James Hughes and Darlene Vaughan. He was an avid poker player and a member of the Eagles post 248, ABATE of Indiana, and VNEA pool leagues. He was the owner of Happy Motors. Surviving are his wife, Lynn Hughes; sons, James (Angie) Hughes, David (Amanda) Stuller, Billy (Kristina) Stuller and Troy (Trish) Stuller; daughters, Tammi (Mike) Nelson and Lisa Mansberger; brother, Bruce Lockwood; sisters, Pamela Renner (Uncle Tommy), Theresa Perrey, and Marquitta Hughes; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; and his two dogs, Sonny and Pebbles. He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Vaughan; and daughter, Pamela Hughes. Service is 2 p.m. Monday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 Wells St. with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials to the Cancer Society.
