Paul Eugene Dantzer, age 76, of Auburn, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. "Butch" as he was known, was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on November 23, 1946 a son of the late Doyle Eugene and Doris Eilene (nee. Rupert) Rice.
He started at the age of 12 doing body work for cars and later in life he and his brother-in-law Jerry opened Doc's Body and Paint. He was a member of Waynedale Baptist Church. He loved slot car and racing cars and professional Go-Car racing where he won many awards. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and spending time with his family.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jim Fiddler, Doyle Rice Jr. and sisters, Jean Ann Fiddler, Carol Ann Rice Hans.
Surviving are his sister, Janice (Jerry) Schoenherr; a nephew of the home, Jerry Donald Schoenherr; a niece, Debbie Morris; his children, Tom, Tammy, Tim and Tricia Dantzer; and several grandchildren; an aunt, Rosie Brundige and cousin, Diane Rice and friends.
