OTTO R. MEYER, 88, passed away on Sunday Aug. 30, 2015. Born in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Karl and Lena Meyer. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a retired truck driver. He married his wife, Martha on June 28, 1947, and she preceded him in death July 7, 2008. He was a member of American Legion Post 47 and Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are his sons, Richard (Judy) Meyer of Elkhart, Ind. and Ronald (Sandra) Meyer of Harpswell, Maine; grandchildren, Jeffrey Meyer, Justin Meyer and Julie Meyer, MD; great-grandchildren, Jack Meyer, Andrew Meyer, Max Meyer and Judd Schille. Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd. with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 420 W. Wayne St. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
