Norma Jean “Toni” (Kennedy) Sandkuhler, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at The Hearth at Sycamore Village. She was born September 10, 1922 in Peru. She was a lifetime member of the Delta Rho Chapter of Sigma Phi Gamma International Sorority. She enjoyed the time that she and her husband spent in Fort Myers, Florida. Playing golf and bridge were just a few of her many interests. She had been very active in the Fort Wayne Women’s Club and Association for Retarded Citizens, serving on the Johnny Appleseed School Board for eight years, along with having served on the state board of IARC and serving as vice-president of the NE Indiana District of ARC. She also served as a precinct committee person for over 30 years. Surviving are her sons, Henry D. “Hal” (Gwen) Sandkuhler of Racine, WI and Marc A. (Kathy) Sandkuhler of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. “Hank” Sandkuhler; and son, Steven D. Sandkuhler. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Preferred memorials may be made to Easterseals ARC of NE Indiana or Great Lakes Caring Home Health and Hospice.
