Nancy Lee Sidwell

Nancy Lee Sidwell, 83, passed away December 26, 2023 at Heritage Park of Fort Wayne, IN. She was born April 29, 1940, in Fort Wayne, IN, the daughter of the late, Virgil Eugene and Dorothy Winners. She graduated from Central High School in 1958. She worked as a Military relocation specialist at North American Van Lines for 25 years and also at Secret Gardens Salon for 10 years.

Nancy loved spending time with her family and friends, her smile would light up a room. She was a very strong woman that raised 4 boys with many pitfalls along the way. She fought illness, near death with Covid and many battles her final days. She loved everyone equally no matter how you were added to the family. She will be greatly missed.

Nancy is survived by her children, Donald (Tonya) Watson, Fred (Shelly Mahannah) Welch, Jack Welch, all of Fort Wayne, IN; Craig Watson of FL; step children, Beth Ann Cobert and Bruce Sidwell, grandchildren, Cheyenne Avery, Justin Watson, Nancy Williams, Jack Swangin, Tim Whaley, Mandi Sutorius and 30 great grandchildren. She had too many friends to list here but one in particular, Audrey, was a lifelong friend that was there till the end.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Dorothy Hart, husband, Frank Sidwell in 2014, son, Michael Watson, brother, Carl J. Winner and wife Patsy Winners, sister, Patricia A. Bowser, and Mother-in-law Roxie Sidwell.

Funeral service will be 1:30 pm Thursday January 4, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN with visitation 1 hour prior. Entombment Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
