Nancy Kay Cloud, age 75, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. She was born on April 13, 1948, in Roanoke, Indiana, the daughter of the late Homer and Goldie (Cox) Mongosa, from the Mongosa and Pimyotahmah clan of Miami Indians. She was the 1965 Miami Indian Princess representing the Miami Tribe of Indiana. Nancy graduated from Elmhurst High School and the St. Joseph School of Nursing. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi and a previous member of South Kiwanis. Nancy was a registered nurse for 43 years. Surviving are two daughters, Shawn Wells and Lauri (Steven) Byers, and one granddaughter, Riley Byers. Nancy is also survived by long-time caregiver, David Cloud, sisters Rosalie Crawford and Donna Keim, as well as 3 nieces and 3 nephews. In honor of Nancy's wishes, there will be no services.
