MILDRED L. DISKEY, 82, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013, 6:18 a.m., at Canterbury Nursing & Rehabilitation. Born June 17, 1931, in Tangier, Ind., she was a daughter of Max H. Deal and Blanche (Walters). She was a cook at Northcrest Bowling Alley for six years and housekeeper at Kohl's Northcrest for 20 years. She was proud to join the Catholic faith and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She loved talking on the CD radio and talked to many states and countries. She enjoyed her pets, camping and seeing the United States. Surviving are her daughters, Donna L. (Dick) Lose and Deb (Joe) Schaaf, both of Fort Wayne; and grandchildren, Brad Lose, Kendra Lose, Brittany Schaaf, and Lindsay Schaaf. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with calling from noon to 2 p.m. Father Jacob Meyer officiating. Burial in Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials to St. Jude Catholic Church.
